The New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF), being held for the past 53 years, is a major calendar event in the publishing
world. NDWBF 2026 is scheduled to be held from 10 to 18 January 2026 in Halls 2-6 at the centrally located Bharat
Mandapam, New Delhi. The Fair is organized by National Book Trust, India (under the Ministry of Education, Government
of India). ITPO (under Ministry of Industry and Commerce) is the co-organiser/venue partner of the fair.
India is the third largest in the world in terms of publishing and book trade. NDWBF offers the exhibitors a unique opportunity
for business with this growing book industry. It is also an ideal venue for promoting titles, co-publication arrangements and
trade. Besides the many literary and publishing conferences and programs that are organized during the Fair, it opens up
a gateway to the publishing and intellectual world of India. The Fair attracts participation from major publishing houses
across the globe.
Theme Pavillion: A dedicated Theme Pavilion, designed by National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad is put up showcasing
the theme of the Book Fair with creatives, graphics, installations, books, walls, artefacts, etc. Many literary sessions and
cultural activities are held around the theme during the fair days in the Theme Pavilion.
Children Corner: A number of activities promoting children’s literature and reading habit such as storytelling sessions,
workshops, panel discussions, interactive sessions, quiz, contests, etc. as well as Child Author’s Corner are organized in
an attractively designed Children’s Pavilion. Conducted by renowned authors and illustrators as well as professionals from
education and publishing fields, these activities see huge participation by teachers and children from various government
and private schools/non-governmental organizations as well as those associated with the children’s literature
Authors' Corner: Aesthetically designed Authors’ Corners created in various halls of the Fair provide the right platform for
dialogues, panel discussions, book launches for the domestic publishers, authors and book lovers. Aptly named as Book
Talk & Lekhak Manch; these Corners have become synonymous with lively literary activities, and also serve as meeting
place for the visitors.
Festival of Festivals: The National Book Trust, India launched the Festival of Festivals (FoF) at the New Delhi World Book
Fair 2024. The Festival of Festivals proved to be a melting pot for different literary and cultural festivals to bring forth their
individual literary initiatives in order to blend with the NDWBF literary community. It successfully provided a platform to the
organisers of festivals across India to create a meeting point for more than 100 speakers during the 32 sessions organised
under the Festival of Festivals 2024.

International Events Corner: It is an engaging platform for sharing ideas and enhancing literary understanding. The
foreign Exhibitors/ Missions /Embassies/Cultural Centers/Book Promotion Agencies are encouraged to book slots at the
Events Corner for organizing Book Launches, Panel Discussions, Literary Programs and Workshops for children as well
as adults
CEOSpeaks: The CEOs and Senior Executives are part of this B2B conference CEOSpeak over Chairman’s Breakfast
organized by National Book Trust, India, on the sidelines of the Fair to share and exchange ideas about Indian and
International book trade. The participation in this event is by invitation only.
New Delhi Rights Table:Rights Exchange Table : It is one of the exciting features of NDWBF which will take place on 12
and 13 January 2026. The New Delhi Rights Table offers B2B match making sessions among publishers in a refreshingly
new business ambience. The unique format of this event enables exhibitors to book their own Rights Table, meet each
other, present their products and ideas, and also finalize their interests and agreements for transfer of translation and other
rights of books available in English, Hindi and other Indian languages.
Cultural Performances : On the sidelines of the New Delhi World Book Fair, and adding to the festivities, NBT also
organizes cultural presentations by popular bands. Cultural programs organized on the occasion have received wide
appreciation from all quarters, particularly from foreign participants
